Purelight Power and Belle Fiore Work Together to Set Solar Trend for Oregon Wineries

[ASHLAND, OREGON] Oregon’s flourishing wine industry hosts more than 900 wineries, but few have moved towards harnessing the same sun that grows their grapes to power winemaking. To date, only a handful of wineries across Oregon have installed solar, and less than a dozen are fully solar powered. But in early September 2022, Belle Fiore switched on their solar array of 500+ panels, and became the premier 100% solar winery in the Rogue Valley.

Since planting the first vineyards in 2007, Belle Fiore has been a fixture of the local community, and a force in Southern Oregon’s growing wine industry. When it was time to go solar, they naturally chose another locally founded company to help them make the switch. Purelight Power was honored to be chosen for the large and important project.
Founded in 2019, Purelight Power is headquartered in nearby Medford, Oregon. Earlier this year, the company was also named the fastest growing private company by Portland Business Journal.

With the panels installed, Belle Fiore will be able to generate over 250,000 kilowatts of energy to power their winemaking facilities and tasting room. As part of their commitment to in-house post-installation support, Purelight Power will be there to make sure it all goes smoothly. Together, Belle Fiore and Purelight Power are making history in this part of the state, and hopefully setting a trend towards cleaner energy for homes and businesses across Oregon.
